Current Simrad fish finders including the NSSevo3S, the NSX Ultrawide, the NXS and the GO Series support NMEA 2000.
The EVO series have NMEA 0183 connections in their power cables, but require proprietary Simrad NMEA 0183 cables to support the large number of connections available in each fish finder/chart. The cable model needed varies with the EVO model. In the NSS evo3S, it is combined with the video in function. On the NSX, it is a separate NMEA 0183 cable with about 16 connections.
The GO, NSX Series do not support NMEA 0183. This issue can be addressed using our Capn NMEA if using these fish finders with a VHF radio that requires an NMEA 0183 connection, or for a Yamaha 6Y8 speedometer, for example.
The Cruise Series does not have an NMEA connector.
