trolling motor cables

Making high quality trolling motor cables is harder than you think.

Wire of this gauge is hard to cut cleanly.  Also, just getting the insulation off without damaging the wire itself can be quite a challenge.

Smacking the ring terminals on with a hammer and punch is the last thing you want to do.  This always creates air gaps between the conductor and the ring terminal.  Some people try to fix this issue with a final solder job.  Subsequently, they melt, harden, or burn the insulation.  Usually, at this point, they cover the whole mess up with double wall, glued, heat shrink.

To do the best job possible of crimping the best quality lugs, you have to spend some serious dough on a great crimp tool.

We invested in the best one available.  Our pneumatic bench crimp tool weighs in at over 35 pounds, and exerts 130 tons of pressure on the lug.  We performed extensive testing on lugs from many manufacturers to ensure the lugs we use survive this process, and give a final crimp with unsurpassed electrical conductivity and strength.

When we’re through, we cover our lugs and crimps with clear glued double wall automotive grade heat shrink, so you can see the quality of our work.

Our trolling motor cables are the absolute best quality.  Two year warranty.
