Our Commitment to Quality & Why it Matters
Connectors and connector pins in this cable assembly are from USA, and are exactly the same OEM as your outboard’s connector. We never use knock off connector components in any of our cable assemblies. This means the connector components always mate properly with your outboard. Not surprisingly, it also saves our manufacturing staff headaches with assembly, since all parts are to a tighter mechanical spec. This saves all of us money and headaches in the long run.
Also, connectors need to be sealed where they connect with your engine wiring harness. Otherwise, moisture and contamination can build up, corroding the connectors on your engines wiring harness. This is something we are very careful about, connector contamination lead to intermittent outboard operation, or the need to either fix or replace the wiring harness in your outboard. All of our outboard cables create a perfect seal with the engine wiring harness when installed. You will see that in all of our cables, appropriate blanking seals are used in unoccupied pin locations.
Manufactured in Canada using OEM engine connectors from Japan, and our unique UL registered 758 Style 2450 AWM 300V multiconductor shielded 105C / 220F rated NMEA cable. This is a significantly safer and better cable than other manufacturers use. ABYC Standards for boat conductors used in applications requiring tolerance to heat, moisture, and oil of the cable jacket specify AWM compliance. Please remember where this cable is going.
Final testing in Canada.
