Description
Our Minnkota Power Lead Retainer Upgrade solves a number of electrical installation problems. Firstly, freshwater versions of most Minnkota motors use non tinned power wire. Secondly, this upgrade allows the use of 8 AWG wire, which is larger than what is supplied. Lastly, you can run a new power lead directly to the battery, or your plug, without splices or soldering.
Oversizing your wire to save power? This strain relief helps with that. Since it allows use of a larger wire on the main power lead going into the motor. Wiring going into the motor goes from 10 AWG to 8 AWG.
