Better Connected™ Minnkota Wiring Kit – Spliceless (For Permanent Install or with Plugs)

With this advanced solution, you can choose from a direct wire trolling motor installation or use one of our popular trolling motor plug and receptacle kits.  Either way, you will have less power loss over your power wiring, and a cleaner installation that will also withstand marine environments better than a factory cable setup.

Choose how many feet of the duplex cable you want with your Power Lead Assembly Kit, and we’ll professionally install the connectors and boots for inside the Minnkota motor prior to shipping to you.  Let us crimp the lugs on for you for a perfect cable.

Optionally, if you buy a circuit breaker at the same time, we can add the positive lead from the battery to the circuit breaker and everything you need will be in this one kit.

You need to know:

  • Total length of cable needed from where existing cable enters the trolling motor, to where your battery posts are.
  • Stud size of your battery posts.
  • Distance from your battery +ve post to where you want to locate your circuit breaker.
  • Our circuit breaker has 5/16″ posts.  We will put these on a jumper wire for between the battery and circuit breaker.

Please be careful.  Custom wire and cable assemblies are non-returnable.

Description

Want the very best trolling motor wiring possible for your Minnkota?  Get the Better Connected™ Minnkota Wiring Kit.

With this advanced solution, you can choose direct wire trolling motor installation or use one of our popular trolling motor plug and receptacle kits.

This kit is specifically designed for the following Minnkota Trolling Motors:

Ulterra:
  • 24V models with battery wire runs up to 15 feet
  • 36V models with battery wire runs up to 30 feet
Powerdrive:
  • 24V/70lb models with battery wire runs up to 30 feet
  • 12V/30lb models with battery wire runs up to 20 feet
  • 12V/40lb and 45lb models with battery wire runs up to 15 feet
  • 12V/50lb and 55lb models with battery wire runs up to 10 feet

Determine the length of cable you need by measuring from where the existing power cable comes out of the trolling motor.  The Spliceless Minnkota Wiriing Cable we provide will replace the 4 foot factory 10AWG wiring that comes with the motor with higher current / lower resistance 8 AWG duplex wiring.  Most importantly, this new tinned wiring has connectors that run right to the power board in the trolling motor.  Freshwater Minnkotas sometimes have regular copper in their motor power connection.  This means our kit provides more efficient wiring, and wiring that will last longer due to being proper tinned wire.  Lastly, there are nylon boots that go over the connections inside the trolling motor.  So our cabling gives better protection the power leads inside the trolling motor.

We offer this kit in as long of a two conductor duplex 8AWG wire length you want. We put brand new, AMP manufactured connectors on the end, and we will use our 130 ton pneumatic crimper to crimp on the battery side lugs, if you want, and we’ll put it all together for you with shrink wrap and provide you everything you need to install this one section wiring to power, or to a connector.

You’ll get a more reliable wire, a larger gauge wire coming out of your motor, and just one wire assembly to run.
