Golden Channels Commitment to Quality

In crimping, the ratio of bad crimps made versus good crimps by a tool is the only thing that matters.  Therefor, in our shop, there are no cheap tools.  Since cheap crimper tools will always get you in trouble.  It’s only a matter of time, since the more crimps you make, the sooner a problem will occur.

If you are planning a job where you will be doing a larger number of crimps, a good crimp tool is very important.  Most importantly, any crimp tool that is not ratcheted is immediately suspect.  Because the pressure put on the crimp is subject to the strength of the operator, the less experienced the tool user will generally start off badly.

Insulated terminals used in marine applications often have heat shrink over the terminals, instead of standard nylon.  Therefore, the tool must be better at distributing the crimp force over a wider area.
