Description
If your chart or fish finder does not have an NMEA 0183 connection, you can still use our Yamaha Command Link Speedometer to NMEA 2000 Network Adapter Cable to display speed on a Yamaha Digital Speedometer.
Although the Yamaha Speedometer can display a number of parameters from the NMEA 2000 network in your boat, for some reason, the speed is only sensed on the 6 pin connector on the back of the speedometer via an older, 2 wire, NMEA 0183 connection.
Fixing this problem is possible, but very time consuming. We’ve completely figured this out for you, and can provide this one cable that fixes this issue, and will display a proper speed, as long as you have a fish finder or GPS putting out data on your NMEA 2000 network.
All of our NMEA cables use high quality PVC insulated cable, and the internal wiring contains both a shield for the outside cable jacket for durability and strength while you are installing it and to ensure long cable life. The power pairs and signal pairs are also shielded to prevent interference between power and the signals. There is also a separate ground “drain” wire in the middle of the cable to ensure a consistent ground signal level for the entire length of the cable.
You cannot buy a better NMEA cable for this price.
These cables come with a two year free, no questions asked replacement warranty. See our warranty terms section on our website for details.
