Better Connected™ Suzuki Humminbird Helix/Raymarine NMEA 2000 (1999 to 2012) Bundle

Description

This is our Better Connected™ Suzuki Humminbird Helix NMEA 2000 Pre2012 Bundle.  This is the perfect kit for anyone who owns a Humminbird Helix fish finder and a Suzuki Outboard.

All Suzuki Outboards which are 2008 four stroke or newer, and 25 HP, and up in power are compatible with this kit.  Most Suzuki 4 Stroke outboards as early as 1999 are compatible, with our Suzuki 2007 & Earlier adapter cable.  Please contact us for help determining if your outboard has the necessary connections.

Your Suzuki Outboard needs to be:

• 1999 or newer Suzuki Outboard.  If you have a Suzuki outboard built prior to 2008, please contact us for information on how to be certain your outboard can be connected to NMEA 2000.  Models built between 1999 and 2007 typically require the K8 adapter cable, our 2007 & Earlier Adapter Cable – SMIS to SDS.
• For 2008 to 2012 models, about half the time, your outboard may also require another adapter cable, model number 990C0-88136).  Again, we can assist you to determine if you need this additional adapter cable in your bundle.  Please contact us with your outboard serial number.
  

With this kit, you will see fuel consumption rate, oil pressure, engine temperature, RPM, alternator voltage, fuel pressure, water pressure, and engine hours.  Many Suzuki Outboards will also provide trim data.

Your Humminbird Helix installation will also require one of two configurations of proprietary Humminbird cables, depending on your specific model of Humminbird fish finder.  Please note that you need a Helix G2N, G3N, or G4N.  The “N” is an important designation.  If your Humminbird Helix Model does not end with “N”, please contact us to help you determine if your model of fish finder can be used with NMEA 2000.

So, you will also need the following, depending on your specific Helix Model (See below):

HELIX 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15 G4N:  You need to purchase one of the Humminbird PN 720114-1.

HELIX 7 G2N, G3N models, HELIX 8 G3N, HELIX 9, 10, 12 G2N, G3N:  Humminbird has discontinued support for these models.  Contact us for more details and to discuss the reasons behind this and options we can offer.

Raymarine Element and Axiom models do not require any additional cables, and this is the complete kit required.  E7 and other models may require proprietary Raymarine cables.  Please contact us for additional configuration assistance.

You can also easily expand this network later if you install more electronics on your boat that has NMEA 2000 capability.

You also have a choice between a fused, and an unfused power lead.  Most boat owners will choose the fused lead, unless they are wiring power directly from a fuse panel.  And that fuse panel contains an extra unused fuse location.
