This Suzuki NMEA Cable V2.9 Firmware is what you need if your Suzuki Outboard has a manufacturing date from 1999 to 2012.
Models
Suzuki Outboards manufactured from 1999 to 2012 require part number 990C0-88149-294. This part comes with Suzuki firmware V2.9 programmed into it.
If you have a Suzuki Outboard with a manufacturing date that is 2013 or more recent, your outboard requires Suzuki part number 990C0-88149-354, instead of this cable.
This works with all Suzuki Outboards DF 9.9B thru DF 300.
If your Suzuki Outboard was manufactured between 2008 and 2012, about 50% of the time, you will also need another cable, model number 990C0-88136. This cable comes in a 1 foot and 8 foot length. Contact us with your year and serial number of outboard, and we can check exactly which cables you need. We can also provide more information on how you can find out if you have your boat handy.
If your Suzuki Outboard was manufactured before 2008, you also require our 2007 & Earlier adapter cable – SMIS to SDS. instead of the cable above. It is also recommended that if your Suzuki outboard is manufactured before 2002, that you contact us so we can help you check to ensure that your outboard has the connections to support NMEA 2000.
