Dealers know about boats. Fishing stores know about fish finders. NMEA networking is not a significant component of their business. And it can complicate their sales cycles. They’re not bad guys. It’s just that most of their time is devoted to other aspects of their business.
We make NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 products. Our customers think we do it well. We care about quality and your safety on the water.
We only use the same brand of connectors used by your outboard manufacturer, and the highest quality components in our products. We test every cable we sell before you receive it. We guarantee your installation will be a success, or we will give your your money back. We call it our “Now You’re Golden” guarantee.
Better Connected™ Fishing is what we’re about.
What’s in a Name?
The element gold has a unique electrical property. It is the only element where the oxide of the element conducts electricity just as easily as the pure element itself. This is the reason why it is common to see connectors with gold plating.
Gold also can be used as a measure of value. Gilding, plating, a gold ring, or a gold medal all indicate something of value.
Channels can refer to river or lake channels when fishing. It can also refer to electrical channels used for the flow of information across the world, or inside a computer or communications device. Or, a channel can refer to sales organizational flow of goods, or fulfillment methodology.
Put these together, and you get Golden Channels.
By the way, that’s a Golden Dorado that Eric is holding in the photo above. It’s range is exclusively South America. This photo was taken near San Nicolás de los Arroyos, Buenos Aires.
