Our NMEA Backbone Cable a is manufactured using the best components, including UL Listed cable for safety.

Our cables meet or exceed all NMEA standards.  With features such as having two shields on each of the data and power wire pairs, plus a braided shield just under the PVC jacket. Your backbone cable is the superhighway of your NMEA Network.  For signal integrity and reliability, it needs to be durable, and well constructed.  Most importantly, it should be tested to ensure proper operation.

Every NMEA cable we sell goes though our main Canadian facility and each cable is tested prior to being packaged.  Our automated testing runs over 16 checks on each NMEA cable.  Pin to pin shorts, and end to end connections are tested for each pin.  The shielding is tested to ensure it is properly connected all the way through.

We have invested heavily in our cable testing equipment.  Key components of our test setup is of our own design, and it thoroughly checks each NMEA cable we sell.  There is not a single cable you can buy from Golden Channels that is not put through extensive testing.  We never just assume anything works before sending it to any of our valued customers.
