Our Capn NMEA Keep It Simple Scanner can help you. Even if you are very new to NMEA 2000.
Diagnose NMEA 2000 Problems Quickly & Easily
Trying to diagnose NMEA 2000 networking problems on your own can be really frustrating.
Most NMEA 2000 networks consist of one outboard and one fish finder. You connect everything up and expect it to work, only to not see any engine data on your fish finder. There are multiple cables in the system. So, how do you determine which cable, tee, or terminator is bad? Especially if you don’t have spare parts.
Capn NMEA to the rescue. Just connect the Capn NMEA KISS, and start everything up. The Capn will quickly check for correct +12V power and the presence of outboard and GPS data. It clearly displays if these signals are present on its LEDs. So, you can easily diagnose Most NMEA 2000 installation problems in seconds. You can move the Capn NMEA KISS around in your network to easily determine which cable or part is bad.
See Engine RPM and Engine Hours
Additionally, you can easily see Engine RPM and Hours using WiFi on any cell phone, laptop, or tablet. And you don’t need to download any software. As long as your outboard has NMEA 2000 capability, the Capn NMEA can give you this in the palm of your hand. You don’t even need a fish finder.

But, what if your NMEA 2000 networks seems to work fine most days? But when it misbehaves, you’re not where you can stop and diagnose the problem?
Or, maybe your NMEA 2000 network is more complex than most, and you need some help sorting out a more difficult problem.
That is when it’s remote logging capability is like magic. It stores a days worth of NMEA 2000 network data, and sends it to us for analysis when you’re back and near a WiFi connection. Or, you can connect using cellular using WiFi tethering. So, you can even diagnose on the water if you have cellular service.
It’s like having an NMEA 2000 Pro in the boat with you. (Initial half hour of telephone and/or email NMEA logging support included. Additional service fees may apply).
